Types of Private Lessons Offered
Stroke Development will help you if you already have prior knowledge of one or all of the strokes and, want to define and perfect your technique to swim efficiently. Get help in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Learn techniques and drills to improve your stroke capability in the water to really get the most out or your swimming.
Endurance and Triathlon Training
This is training to help build endurance, speed, and mobility in the water. Build techniques to swim long distances and be able to train hard for long periods of time. This is great for triathlon athletes or someone wanting to get a good workout and increase their existing swimming abilities. Though learning the basics you will be able to build workouts based on your specific needs.
If you are uncomfortable in the water we will help you find your confidence and, learn the skills to help you stay safe in the water in case of an emergency. Beginning skills focuses on floats, swimming on front and back with proper breathing technique, and treading water.
I am a Junior at Dixie State University majoring in Psychology. I swam competitively for three years and absolutely fell in love with all aspects of the sport. I immediately knew that this was something I was very passionate in, and have been working as a coach to share that love and passion with others. I am WSI certified and have experience coaching in both swimming and track. Though I tend to specialize in children and children with special needs I am confident in my teaching abilities at all levels! I cant wait to help you improve and become the best swimmer you can be!
Allie is a wife and mother of four wonderful children, an avid lover of health and being physically active. She was a competitive swimmer for over 10 years, placing in State each year of high school. She has extensive experience with all levels of swimmers–teaching youth classes, coaching youth swim teams, coaching a high school swim team, and teaching private adult lessons. Allie has previously participated in and is currently training for a sprint triathlon. She has a solid background and the perceptive ability to help people improve their swimming abilities. Additionally, she truly enjoys working with others to help them improve. She is currently WSI certified and ready to help beginners to serious athletes confidently reach their personal goals.
Jazmin is a Senior at DSU working towards her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and is preparing to apply for her master’s program in Athletic Training. She swam competitively for 2 years, played water polo for 5 years, and dove for a year. She has experience in preparing swim lesson plans, coordinating, and teaching learn-to-swim and water safety courses to patrons between the ages 3 to 45 years old; as well as preparing water polo and diving coaching plans. She also runs the group fitness swim class on Wednesdays so whether you’re a good swimmer that wants to improve on technique or someone who can’t swim who wants to learn then come on by! She loves helping others and seeing them succeed in their goals.
